Frank Apeseche
Frank Apeseche is a veteran executive with more than three decades of experience creating, building, managing and advising successful business enterprises. As an owner he has led 4 companies to their initial public offerings. As an investor he has sponsored 14 institutional private equity funds with over $7 billion of capitalization. The businesses he has supervised span a geography covering the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.
Frank is currently on the faculty at both Harvard and Tufts Universities. He also serves as a Director and audit committee Chair of Building Engines Inc., a national SaaS software corporation that provides advanced technology solutions to commercial clientele. In addition Frank is an active member/investor of Launchpad Venture Group where he advises and finances promising growth companies in the technology and business services market segments.
Previously Frank was Chief Executive Officer of The Berkshire Group, the operating parent of several prominent public and private subsidiaries that compete in the healthcare, finance, technology and housing industries. During his 26 years at Berkshire Frank helped launch and grow over a dozen enterprises with cumulative assets in excess of $10 billion, including a public Canadian hospital supplier and three separate NYSE listed firms.
Frank also has served as Chairman of Amstar Advisers, Berkshire Realty Ventures, Berkshire Property Advisors, K-Bro Linen Systems and Aspen Furniture, and was on the Board of Directors of Lodging Capital Partners, Surebridge inc., Berkshire Mortgage Finance, SMS Modern Cleaning Services, and Berkshire Realty Holdings. Frank’s public company expertise includes senior officer responsibility for two NYSE corporations and active engagement as an expert witness and industry spokesman to the U.S. Congress on commercial economic development. Frank received his BA from Cornell University and his MBA from the University of Michigan.
